Why share my stories?
Sharing your stories and memories is an enjoyable and therapeutic way to recall life events, convey messages and connect with friends and family. By recording your voice, you are giving a treasured gift to your family and friends.

How much does it cost?
The service is free of charge.
Do I need any specialist equipment?
To allow the recording to take place, you will need a smartphone.
Who will interview me?
You will be interviewed by a one of our specialist trained biographers.
What happens before the interview?
One of our biographers will hold a 20-30 minute preparation session with you to discover what you would like to record. This can be anything you wish; your life story, a special memory, a recipe or favourite poem etc. They will then organise a date and time that works for you and organise this with our Sound Engineer.
What happens during the interview?
On the agreed interview day, our biographer will either meet you one to one or set up a WhatsApp conference call using a smart phone. You don’t need to do anything other than answer your phone! Our biographer will guide you, and our Sound Engineer will record the interview in a high-quality audio format.
Do I need to complete any forms?
Before we confirm your biography, you will be asked to complete a short consent form. This ensures you understand the process and are happy to be interviewed; we cannot arrange the biography until this is complete. Our biographer will also complete an anonymised data form which helps us create the data for our fundraising work.
Will it be confidential?
Your recording will only be shared with the family member/s and or friend/s you specify on your consent form. The recording will be sent to you a couple of days later as a link to WeTransfer and you can download your story. The charity does not keep a copy of the recording and it will be erased from our system within 14 days.
